Born into a Franco-Malagasy musical family, Soa420 grew up surrounded by reggae, R&B, and dancehall. This heritage shaped her relationship to music from an early age and fuels her desire to highlight Afro-descendant identities and the influence of minorities within electronic cultures. Primarily a dubstep DJ, she weaves in both her sets and productions a sonic landscape where cavernous bass, sharp breakbeats, introspective dub, and dark trap intersect.

Originally from the Paris region, she discovered the club scene during a year in Berlin before settling in Nantes, where she joined Macadam from its opening in 2018. An engaged actor of the city’s nightlife, she co-founded Zone Rouge in 2019 — a collective dedicated to the visibility of women artists and minorities — and later joined Tissé in 2023, a project rooted in Afro-descendant aesthetics and soundsystem culture.

After several years in Nantes, Soa420 now divides her time between the Paris region and London. On the production side, she made her debut in 2024 with Made of Silver on Hidden Rhythms, followed by her first EP No Nerve on Bait, asserting a resolutely singular direction: hybrid, embodied, and deeply anchored in the fertile margins of club culture.
